chainsaw man rant (spoilers)

okay i need to be honest straight up: this anime is kind of trash lmao.
i have read some of the manga and it is better, i think, but altogether the sexual
references in this one can be problematic and disturbing... like, i don't think i
want to even talk about himeno because it infuriates me so much. i loved her character
and then they made her a pedo?? but then still give her a heartbreaking story, its
confusing and just makes me mad.

the relationship between makima and denji is what pisses me off. i know thats prob why a lot of
guys like the anime, but man is it fucking annoying when an anime with a lot of promise
in the story, gore, and fighting is just overshadowed by the blatant horniness of the main character.

so why do i like chainsaw man? i don't know. i really like power, i think she's funny and fun to watch. the fighting
scenes are great, the designs are good. everything is good! except the damn sexual references. like, if the
anime would tone that way the fuck down, it would be such a solid piece.

will it get better? maybe. who knows. like i said, the manga is decent. my love for power is what keeps
the tip of my toe in the fandom. but i also just tend to attach to any anime i am able to complete, because
getting my attention span to focus long enough to finish a show is nearly impossible lately. but i'm sure
i'll get over it soon tbh. just the fact that i'm embarrassed to say i watch csm should be enough LMAO.
