My Time Series

My Time at Portia
Start a new life in the enchanting town of Portia! Restore your Pa's neglected workshop to its former glory by fulfilling commissions, growing crops, raising animals, and befriending the quirky inhabitants of this charming post-apocalyptic land! Armed with your Pa's old handbook and workbench, you must gather, mine and craft your way to being crowned the number one workshop in Portia. Help the locals rebuild the town and uncover the secrets locked deep away beneath it. Be prepared though…it won't be easy!

My Time At Sandrock
300 years after the Day of Calamity destroyed most modern technologies, travel to the desert community of Sandrock and take on the role of a fledgling Builder. Use your trusty toolset to gather resources, construct machines, and turn your run-down workshop into a well-oiled production facility to save the town from the jaws of economic ruin.

I think I will shout this series from the rooftops forever. The My Time series takes all of my favorite games and kind of mixes them together (Think SDV/HM meets Minecraft meets Rune Factory) , giving you something similar to a "cozy farming sim" without it actually being a farming sim. There IS farming and ranching in it, but the main feature is that you are a builder and will be completing building commissions throughout the story.
The art style is just beautiful. The colors are the perfect soft tone that makes the environment feel so dreamy, and the fact that it's set in an post-apocalyptic land just adds to that. The character designs are great and they each have their own little stories to tell. There's marriage, you can adopt a stray dog or cat, plenty of combat, mining, farming, building, collecting, etc. If I'm excluding Harvest Moon because, lets be real, nothing can ever top HM for me, I'd say MTAP/MTAS are my favorite cozy simulation games yet. And I remember just about every concern I had with My Time at Portia was improved with My Time At Sandrock, their second game. Seriously, props to these developers and I can't wait to see what else they put out there. I think they announced a 3rd game a few months ago!

Edit: Upon looking into the My Time At Evershine kickstarter, I have so much commentary that I will be adding here when I have time because OMFG IT LOOKS AMAZING! Check back in a day or so!
